It was a sunny day in August and we had the pleasure of creating an enchanting atmosphere for Jade & Jake. A clean and organic color pallet was on the design menu. Both the nuptials and reception took place at The Pittsburgh Botanic Garden, providing the perfect location for this look! This new venue is the home to nearly 500 acres of reclaimed coal mining land. This venue is laid out perfectly, giving plenty of space for a large crowd with an intimate feel. Guests are greeted by beautifully manicured trees and flowers each labeled with their unique species, a set of welcome signs that we dressed with floral, and a gorgeous wrought iron gazebo.
The secluded ceremony was held in the garden, with the aisle lined with white rose petals and lanterns. Made up of garden roses, a variety of greens, berries and thistle, the wedding party’s flowers were some of our favorites we’ve ever designed! Their ceremony was beautiful and they officially became Mr. and Mrs Hess!
After their ‘I do’s’ cocktails were served and the reception began! Guests found their seats easily with a custom seating chart in our big beautiful gold leaf frame adorned with a spray of floral and greens. Everyone took their seats under the tent. Both round and rectangle tables were dressed with crisp white linens. Atop the rectangle tables were long garlands made up of a variety of greens including three types of eucalyptus. Pops of white lisianthus gave the never-ending garland a soft and romantic touch! Fluffy white hydrangeas and eucalyptus set in high and low cylinder vases provided a perfect amount of height to the round tables that lined both sides of the tent. We’re not sure what the final candle count on all the tables was, but we may have set a record with this one, mixing Mercury and clear glass of varying heights.
The wine loving couple served Hess wine to celebrate their Union. After dinner guests celebrated at the cigar bar, a special gift from bride to groom. The dance floor was inside the barn and everyone was dancing and having a great time!Between the ceremony ‘wall’ and a cozy fireplace decorated with floral garland and candlelight all over, when night fell the entire venue was sparkling! Dancing went on all night until the last shuttle arrived! It was an amazing day for an amazing couple!
